About Zonta

 What Is Zonta?

Zonta International is a worldwide organization of executives in business and the professions working together to empower women through Service and Advocacy. The Zonta Club of Halifax learns, advocates, and serves. We learn about the status of women at home and abroad through a series of talks and films presented at our General Meetings and by opportunities to meet collectively with Zonta club members from other areas at Workshops, District Conferences and International Conventions.

We advocate by joining other professional organizations, participating in conferences and workshops, and writing letters to empower women.

We serve the needs of women and children in our local community by applying our skills and experience and in the international community by participating in international projects.

Because of Covid-19, we have been unable to meet face-to-face, however, we do meet regularly via ZOOM.  If you are interested in joining one of our meetings, please send your request to info@zontahalifax.org and Kathryn Patterson will connect with you to set up the ZOOM invitation.

Our next regularly scheduled meeting is Tuesday, 11 October, 2022 5:00 p.m. at the Officers' Mess, Stadacona, if we are able to meet Face-To-Face pm that date. We will update the information here to confirm how we will meet closed to that date.  If you wish to join this meeting, or wish more information on any of our programmes,   contact us.
