Bayers Westwood Family Resource Centre

The Amelia Earhart Fellowship was established in 1938 in honour of famed pilot and Zontian, Amelia Earhart. The US$10,000 Fellowship is awarded annually to up to 35 women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences. It may be used at any university or college offering accredited post-graduate courses and degrees in these fields.  

Jane M. Klausman Scholarship (JMK) for Women in businss

The Jane M. Klausman Scholarship is offered to women studying business at an accredited university and is offered at three levels:  Club, District and Zonta International.  Apply to the Zonta Club of Halifax where the deadline is March 31, 2022. 

The Halifax memorial award in memory of marlene grantham and Dr. dora stinson

This award is offered through the Nova Scotia Community College for students registered at this institution, and is offered to mature students who are improving their lives and that of their family through education.  Deadline for application is March 31, 2022.

Women in Technology scholarship

The Women in Technology Scholarship is for women pursuing academic studies in information technology subjects. Students apply directly to Zonta International.  Scholarships of US$8,000 each will be awarded to the top 20 applicants.  Deadline:  October 15, 2021.

Young Women in public affairs (YWPA) Award

The Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award is offered to young women between the ages of 16-19 who demonstrate leadership skills.  This award is offered at three levels:  Club, District and Zonta International. Deadline to apply to the Zonta Club of Halifax is February 28, 2022.
